Warehouse finance is lending techniques against monitored or controlled goods and commodities stored in warehouses. This is a more organized way of inventory finance. It will require the establishment of appropriate standards for the relationship among lenders, borrowers and third-party collateral management companies. It can also make use of the latest technologies such as IOT, digital fence, block-chain, etc., to make the lenders more confident.
Today, in partnership with Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and the National Registration Agency for Secured Transactions (NRAST), IFC' and APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), jointly organized the Tenth APEC Financial Infrastructure Development Network Conference. We asked Vietnamese regulators, bankers, international and local professional collateral management service providers, and warehouse finance/warehouse management experts about the road to scale up warehouse finance and develop a professional collateral management industry in #Vietnam.
