IFC and The Financial Times have announced the shortlist for the 2019 Transformational Business Awards—a premier global program recognizing private sector companies that make a difference in addressing development challenges and in helping the world achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Thirty-five finalists, selected from the pool of 270 entries – the highest number received since the program’s inception – are creating jobs, tackling the challenges of urban infrastructure, growing food in tough places, helping people with disabilities lead active lives, and much more. Winners will be announced on June 13, 2019, during the FT/IFC Transformational Business Conference, a gathering of global thinkers, senior journalists, and business leaders that will take place in London. We will be broadcasting the event live so tune in to meet the winners in real time.
