Regional Course on Social Impact Assessments for Hydropower

The International Centre for Hydropower (ICH) and IFC are pleased to invite hydropower professionals to apply for the course, ‘The Process of Social Impact Assessment’. ICH and IFC will deliver this one-week interactive training course in Hanoi, Vietnam this October.

 

The course will introduce participants to procedures that should be followed in order to comply with requirements for a sound social impact assessment process, considering strategic priorities and strong engagements with prior and informed consent, social performance standards, supply change management, governance, local content. The course will provide tools for planning hydropower and other water-related projects in the best possible way on a national, regional and local level.
