Annual Report 2025

Creating Jobs, Growing Economies

The  World Bank Group’s 2025 Annual Report showcases the results of the World Bank, IFC, MIGA, and ICSID as we work towards our shared commitment to driving development impact and reducing poverty. At the core of that mission is creating employment opportunities in developing countries. Jobs are the most reliable route out of poverty — and a source of dignity and purpose.

This marks the first time the World Bank Group has published a consolidated annual report. It reflects steps taken to strengthen synergies across the Group, ensuring that our public and private-sector arms are building solutions together. For clients, we are delivering results with greater speed, simplicity, and accountability. Our operations are quicker, keeping pace with global markets. Our leadership represents all of the World Bank Group, not a part of it. Our Corporate Scorecard tracks a focused set of outcomes, shared by the entire institution.

Our Annual Report accounts for that progress in the face of extraordinary development challenges.

For IFC, this was another record year as we focused on private-sector solutions to the jobs agenda. IFC committed $71.7 billion in fiscal 2025, including funds mobilized from other investors, up from $56 billion in fiscal 2024.
