IFC offers students in Latin America and the Caribbean Internship Opportunities

February 21, 2020IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, is offering 40 internship opportunities, including in Latin America and the Caribbean, as part of IFC's Global Internship Program (GIP). GIP offers highly motivated individuals an opportunity to be exposed to the mission and work of IFC and the broader World Bank Group, and to be a part of the largest private sector development institution in the world. Selected interns will be offered short-term temporary contracts with IFC for a minimum of four weeks that can begin as early as April and end as late as October 31, 2021.

The positions are in IFC's Washington, DC headquarters, as well as in Brazil, Colombia, Singapore, Madagascar, London and Senegal, among others. As most of the internships will be on home-based work format, it is possible to apply to different regions.

Master's students from Latin America and the Caribbean with experience in fields such as development studies, business, finance, economics, international relations and climate finance will have the chance to join IFC's team in the region and build an international network of professionals dedicated to ending extreme poverty and boosting prosperity in the developing world. In Sao Paulo, for example, the intern will support the local Environment, Social and Governance and Regional team. And in Bogota, the student will provide data analytics research of current market trends, consumer sentiment and/or industry players.

Applications are open on IFC's Global Internship Program websiteand the closing date is March 8, 2021 (at 11:59pm UTC). Candidates must be in the first or second-to-last year of a Masters' level program, with at least three years of relevant experience.
