This case study expands the evidence base for advancing gender equality in the distribution and retail segments of corporate supply chains. It shares findings from surveys conducted with distributors and retailers in the network of Ceylon Biscuits Limited, and identifies the benefits and opportunities for engaging with women-led distributors and retailers of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) in Sri Lanka. The surveys were conducted from 2021-22 by IFC as part of the Women in Work program, a partnership with the government of Australia.
