IFC 2nd International Food Fortification Forum: Better Life – Better Business – Brighter Future

With the 2022 Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey revealing substantial micronutrient deficiencies among children under five and women of reproductive age, ensuring nutrition safety has become increasingly critical.

Food fortification, a proven and low-cost innovation, has played a vital role in combating nutrient deficiencies globally. Bangladesh's success in this area underscores the transformative potential of such initiatives!

Over the past decade, Bangladesh has made significant strides in achieving food security.

At IFC’s 2nd International Food Fortification Forum, themed “Better Life – Better Business – Brighter Future,” more than 100 leaders from the public and private sectors gathered to advance food fortification efforts. Held in partnership with the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) and with support from the Government of Japan and the Gates Foundation, the event focused on bridging the nutrition gap in Bangladesh through innovative solutions like food fortification.
