· Up to $33 million in financing to Eurasia Group will expand access to equipment, training and energy-efficient infrastructure for farmers in Central Asia.
· Four new service centers will bring modern equipment, maintenance, and training closer to more farmers across Central Asia.
Almaty, Kazakhstan, November 3, 2026 - Eurasia Group has secured to $33 million in financing from IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, to expand modern agricultural machinery distribution, maintenance, and farmer training networks across Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic. The investment aims to boost agricultural productivity, strengthen food security, and support an estimated 1,600 jobs, across both economies.
The financing package supports the company’s plans to build four modern, energy-efficient service and distribution centers—three in Kazakhstan (Astana, Pavlodar and Petropavlovsk) and one in Bishkek, marking the first dedicated John Deere service center in the Kyrgyz Republic. IFC is committing US$18 million initially: US$15 million for Kazakhstan and US$3 million for the Kyrgyz Republic. A further US$15 million may be made available for Kazakhstan to support the Group's continued expansion. The financing package will be offered in Euro and local currencies, helping the company reduce its foreign exchange risk.
Agriculture is central to Central Asia’s economies and rural livelihoods. However, many farmers rely on aging, fuel-inefficient equipment that limits yields and increases operating costs. Eurasia Group, a leading distributor and the region’s exclusive John Deere dealer since 2002, employs more than 600 people. By bringing service infrastructure closer to farming communities, the project is expected to reach approximately 1,700 additional farmers and improve their access to modern equipment, spare parts, and faster repairs.
The investment is expected to support about 1,600 full-time equivalent direct and indirect jobs in local economies and increase productivity through training and the transfer of new technologies. Eurasia Group will also strengthen workplace safety and expand career opportunities for women, who currently make up about 26 percent of its workforce.
"Expanding our operational footprint in Kazakhstan and opening our very first dedicated service center in the Kyrgyz Republic represents a transformative milestone for our company and for the farmers we serve," said Mustafa Sahin, President & CEO of Eurasia Group AG. "With IFC’s support, we will bring reliable equipment and maintenance closer to farmers while investing in skills, knowledge, and digital tools to help them succeed."
“Modern farm services can help Central Asia’s farmers increase productivity, strengthen rural livelihoods, and better manage changing weather conditions,” said Wagner Albuquerque de Almeida, IFC’s Regional Industry Director for Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Services in the Middle East and Central Asia. “Through this partnership, farmers will gain better access to modern equipment, training, and support to improve yields and create jobs in rural communities.”
In addition to expanding equipment access, the project incorporates significant climate and educational initiatives. All four newly constructed service centers will be certified under IFC’s EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) green building standard, reducing facility energy consumption by 20 percent and avoiding an estimated 1,674 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions annually.
