COP28 is taking place from 30 November until 12 December 2023.

 The World Bank Group is redoubling efforts to end poverty on a livable planet. A safer climate means that all people – but especially women and young people – have a decent quality of life on a planet with clean air, clean water and enough to eat, and are less vulnerable to climate impacts.

The 28th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP28) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) is being held at Expo City, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

IFC forms part of the World Bank Group Delegation at COP28 and focuses primarily on 4 themes: the energy transition, decarbonization, water and gender.
