IFC appoints Juan Gonzalo Flores as Country Manager for Mexico

Mexico City, March 16^th 2021. The International Finance Corporation (IFC), member of the World Bank Group, announced the assignment of Juan Gonzalo Flores as the new Country Manager for IFC in México.

Flores is a seasoned professional with 35 years of working experience promoting financial and economic development in Latin America, with expertise in debt structuring, advisory services and client coverage. Since his arrival at IFC in 2004, Flores has been an important asset for the LAC region due to his proven talent to adapt rapidly to changing working environments and business development capabilities.

"IFC has been operating successfully in México for more than six decades. I am honored to continue promoting the development of the private sector with investments and advisory that contribute significantly to financial inclusion, sustainability and gender equality in the context of the economic recovery of the crisis produced by COVID-19," said Flores.

Before being appointed as Country Manager, Flores was responsible for business development activities in the Agribusiness, Manufacturing, Retail, Tourism and Property sectors in Mexico. Flores has a Master of philosophy in international finance by the University of Glasgow and a Bachelor´s degree in economics by the Universidad Mayor de San Andres in Bolivia.

Flores will be based in Mexico City.
