February 22, 2021

This case study outlines the results of Bank of South Pacific’s participation in the Waka Mere Commitment to Action (2017-2019), an initiative to improve business outcomes in Solomon Islands through advancing workplace gender equality by promoting women in leadership; building respectful and supportive workplaces; and increasing opportunities for women in jobs traditionally held by men.

The initiative was led by IFC and the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce. Fifteen of the largest companies in Solomon Islands participated in Waka Mere.
