Making Capital Count: Unlocking Growth Through African Finance

African finance has built profitable, sophisticated institutions, yet African economies remain short of capital. AFIS 2026 asks how the industry can turn that financial strength into economic power by mobilizing private capital at scale, expanding productive sectors and creating jobs.

This year's summit in Luanda, on 3 – 4 November, will bring together more than 1,250 African and global financial leaders and regulators. Through high-level panels, workshops and networking sessions, participants will look for practical ways to crowd in private investment, channel finance to the real economy, turn African savings into African investment and deepen regional integration.

About AFIS

The Africa Financial Summit (AFIS) is the continent's leading platform for high-level dialogue, innovation and partnership across Africa's financial ecosystem.

Co-hosted by Jeune Afrique Media Group and IFC, and hosted by the Government of Angola, the 2026 edition of the summit will convene more than 1,250 senior leaders from across banking, insurance, capital markets, fintech, mobile money and regulatory authorities. The goal is to promote a shared understanding among public authorities and private sector leaders of the trends, risks and opportunities shaping Africa's financial industry.
