Elena Herrero-Beaumont, PhD, is Director of Research & Institutional Relations at Inbonis Rating, an ESMA-accredited credit rating agency specialized in the mid-market segment. She works at the intersection of finance, policy, and data, promoting credit ratings as tools to strengthen transparency, improve governance, and mobilize private investment, particularly for SMEs and mid-sized companies. Her work focuses on how information infrastructures can reduce market frictions, enhance capital allocation, and support the integration of firms into domestic and global production networks. She is also Co-founder and Director of Ethosfera, a think tank dedicated to responsible information, public deliberation, and ethical governance. A former investigative journalist, Elena worked in New York with the Initiative for Policy Dialogue at Columbia University, founded by Nobel Laureate Joseph Stiglitz. She holds a PhD in Constitutional Law (UCM) and an MSc in Journalism (Columbia), and is an adjunct professor at the University of Navarra.
