Annamaria Conti is a Full Professor at IE Business School and serves as Associate Editor of Management Science and member of the Editorial Review Board of Strategy Science. Her research explores how technology startups organize and perform, and how venture capitalists make investment decisions. Her work has been published in leading journals including Management Science, The Review of Economics and Statistics, and Strategic Management Journal, earning recognition through the Brady Family Award for Faculty Research Excellence and the DRUID Young Scholar Best Paper Award. Her research has been cited by the World Intellectual Property Organization and the European Commission, and featured in Harvard Business School's Working Knowledge blog.

She previously held faculty positions at HEC Lausanne and Georgia Institute of Technology. Before entering academia, she worked as an economist for Caterpillar.
