Ameet Morjaria

Ameet Morjaria is a Senior Lecturer in Applied Economics at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Before joining MIT Sloan, he was an Associate Professor of Managerial Economics and Decision Sciences at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. His research interests include economic development, the economics of contracts and organizations, political economy, and environmental economics. Among other topics, he has studied relational contracts within and between organizations, market design in commodity exchanges, quality upgrading in global supply chains, nation-building in emerging democracies, and the political economy of the environment. He earned a PhD in Economics from the LSE. He is affiliated with the NBER, CEPR, BREAD, CESifo, IGC, the Pan-African Research Council, and the Research Network on Sustainable Global Supply Chains.
