Many resources documenting the business case for increasing women's participation in the private sector are available the Private Sector Leader's Forum (PSLF) website.
The PSLF was an initiative of the World Bank Group's wide-reaching, four-year Gender Action Plan (GAP) to improve women's economic opportunity through increased access to land, labor, agriculture, and financial services.
The PSLF lasted for two years but its impact continues.
Global leaders from major corporations such as McKinsey and Goldman Sachs made specific commitments to create opportunities for women as an integral part of their core business, corporate social responsibility agendas or diversity and inclusion initiatives. Many of the resources available on the PSLF website come from their company's experiences and research efforts.
