Draft Revised Thermal Power Plants EHS Guidelines - Environmental, Health, and Safety Guidelines Technical Revision, Second Public Consultation

The first public consultation to revise the 2008 World Bank Group EHS Guideline on Thermal Power Plants took place October 15 - November 15, 2013.

The comments received during that first consultation (see summary below) were essential in helping us shape this draft.

We now begin the second and final public consultation for the Thermal Power Plants EHS Guideline. Please use the form below to submit your comments to the draft revised Guideline by June 30, 2017.

In particular, we seek your inputs on the implementation of the “top quartile of energy efficiency” requirement (see paragraph #29: “New facilities should be aimed to be in the top quartile of energy efficiency for the country/region average plant of the same fuel type and capacity”).

Below you will find (i) a clean version of the revised draft; (ii) a version that illustrates in tracked changes the differences between the revised draft and the 2008 version of the Guideline; and (iii) the 2008 version of this Guideline..
