Technical Revision of the World Bank Group Environmental, Health, and Safety Guidelines
The EHS Guidelines are technical reference documents with general and industry-specific examples of Good International Industry Practice (GIIP). They contain the performance levels and measures that are normally acceptable to the World Bank Group, and that are generally considered to be achievable in new facilities at reasonable costs by existing technology. They are used by the World Bank, IFC and MIGA.
Following the 2012 update of IFC's Policy and Performance Standards on Environmental and Social Sustainability, it has been decided to update the 2007 EHS Guidelines.

As shown above, the WBG is soliciting your feedback through two 30-day public consultations for each of the EHS Guidelines being revised.
- First consultation: a 30-calendar day electronic comment period to gather comments from stakeholders on the 2007 version EHS Guidelines ("listening consultation").
- Second consultation: a 30-calendar day electronic comment period to gather comments from stakeholders on the draft revised guidelines.
