Prior to Oatly, Ashley served as Climate and Land Senior Manager at Mars, Incorporated, where she led the climate change and land sustainability initiatives and guided the company on their science-based target to cut carbon emissions across their value chain. Ashley began her career in the public sector, at the U.S. State Department and USAID, leading climate partnerships with countries around the world, and helping to negotiate the international Paris Agreement on Climate Change. She also served on the White House Environmental Council, helping launch President Barack Obama’s U.S. Climate Action Plan. Ashley has a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Illinois and a Master’s degree in international affairs and environmental policy from Indiana University. Today, Ashley lives outside of Washington, DC in the U.S. with her nature-loving family.

Kim Stanley Robinson is an American science fiction writer. He is the author of about twenty books, including the internationally bestselling Mars trilogy, and more recently Red Moon, New York 2140, and The Ministry for the Future. He was part of the U.S. National Science Foundation’s Antarctic Artists and Writers’ Program in 1995 and 2016, and a featured speaker at COP-26 in Glasgow, a guest of the UK government and the UN. His work has been translated into 25 languages, and won awards including the Hugo, Nebula, and World Fantasy awards. In 2016 asteroid 72432 was named “Kimrobinson.”
Guy Ryder
Director-General of International Labour Organization
Guy Ryder, Director-General, International Labour Organization was first elected in 2012 and started a second term of office in 2017. His vision is for an ILO that anticipates and responds effectively to 21st century realities, reaching the most vulnerable and remaining true to its social justice mandate. At the present time, his priority is achieving a human-centred recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic that is inclusive, sustainable and resilient.
Mr. Ryder had previously served the ILO in various capacities including as Executive Director for international labour standards and fundamental principles and rights at work. From 2006-10 he was General Secretary of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), having led the unification of the democratic international trade union movement. Julia Hoggett took up the post of Chief Executive Officer of London Stock Exchange plc on the 14 April 2021.
Prior to this position, Julia was the Director of Market Oversight at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), responsible for overseeing the conduct of participants in the primary and secondary markets in the UK. Julia joined the FCA as Head of the Wholesale Banking Supervision Department in May 2014. Before joining the FCA, Julia was Managing Director and Head of FIG Flow Financing and subsequently also Covered Bonds, Short-Term Fixed Income Origination and Green Debt Capital Markets for EMEA at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML). Prior to joining BAML Julia was a Board Member and latterly CEO of DEPFA ACS BANK in Ireland and responsible for the long-term funding of the DEPFA BANK Group.
Earlier in her career, Julia worked at JP Morgan in DCM origination roles covering Sovereign, Supranational and Agency clients and before that Sovereign and sub-Sovereign clients in Emerging Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Julia has a degree in Social and Political Sciences from Newnham College, Cambridge University and undertook a research scholarship at Kings College, Cambridge University focused on public policy and economic development strategies in East Africa.
Julia was named one of Financial News’ 100 Most Influential Women in Europe’s Financial Markets in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2021. Paul previously co-founded Rufus Leonard Corporate Design and EyeNetwork, which was the largest videoconference booking service in Europe.
He has served as a member of the Environmental Research Group of the UK Faculty and Institute of Actuaries. Paul has authored various publications including the book Beautiful Corporations published in 2000 by Financial Times Prentice Hall. The book introduced the concept of sustainability product marketing which is growing in significance as a force in contemporary commerce.

Mark is the founder of the Carbon Tracker Initiative and conceived the ‘unburnable carbon’ thesis. Prior to forming Carbon Tracker, Mark had twenty years experience in sustainable financial markets. Mark is a co-founder of some of the first responsible investment fund at Jupiter Asset Management, NPI, AMP Capital, and Henderson Global Investors. Mark served on the World Business Council for Sustainable Development working group on capital markets leading up to the 1992 Earth Summit; was a Member of the Steering Committee of UNEP Financial Sector Initiative (1999-2003) and continues to advise a number of investment funds. Jeannie Renne-Malone, LEED AP BD+C leads the global sustainability function at VF Corporation, driving the company’s environmental sustainability strategy, goals and actions, covering all aspects of VF’s footprint, including direct corporate impacts, supply chain environmental impacts and impacts of materials and products. She sets goals and objectives, establishes strategies, engages stakeholders, tracks progress and reports results for the company. John Gandolfo

John Gandolfo is IFC’s Vice President, Economics and Private Sector Development (acting) and Treasurer. In these capacities, Mr. Gandolfo leads a global team responsible for managing IFC’s financial position, safeguarding the organization’s international triple-A rating and maintaining IFC’s standing as a premier issuer in the global capital markets.
Mr. Gandolfo leads IFC’s Treasury and Syndications global team in delivering on IFC’s strategy to create markets and mobilize private capital for development. The team manages over $100 billion in liquid assets, global market borrowings, and derivatives transactions. It is responsible for strengthening local-currency financing by arranging and executing local-currency and risk-management transactions for clients and raising third-party capital through innovative syndication and mobilization platforms such as the Managed Co-Lending Portfolio Program (MCPP).
Prior to taking the role of IFC Treasurer, Mr. Gandolfo was Director and Chief Investment Officer of the Pension and Endowments Department at the World Bank. His team managed $27 billion of World Bank Group pension and other retirement-benefit portfolios invested across a range of asset classes and strategies.
Over a highly successful career spanning more than 30 years in the World Bank Group, Mr. Gandolfo acquired broad experience in financial markets and treasury operations. As Director of the Quantitative Strategies, Risk and Analytics Department, he was responsible for the development of strategic and tactical asset allocations, risk management, and financial modeling for the asset management, capital markets, and banking businesses. Before that, he was the Director of the Investment Management Department. He began his career in IFC’s Financial Management and Planning Department.

Sean Kidney

Sean Kidney is CEO of the Climate Bonds Initiative, an international NGO, working to mobilize global capital for climate action. Projects include a green bond definitions and certification scheme with $34 trillion of assets represented on its Board; working with the Chinese central bank on how to grow green bonds in China; market development programs in Brazil, Mexico, ASEAN and Africa; and market tracking services for the green bonds industry. He is a member of the European Commission's Platform on Sustainable Finance, and was a member of its predecessors, the 2017 EU High Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance and the EU Technical Expert Group on Sustainable Finance. Makhtar Diop
Managing Director and Executive Vice President, IFC
Makhtar Diop is IFC’s Managing Director and Executive Vice President. He assumed this position on March 1st, 2021. Prior to this appointment, he was the World Bank’s Vice President for Infrastructure, where he led the Bank’s global efforts to build sustainable infrastructure in developing and emerging economies. In this role, he oversaw the Bank’s critical work in energy, transport, digital infrastructure, and public-private partnerships.
Prior to this, Mr. Diop served for six years as the World Bank’s Vice President for Africa, where he oversaw the delivery of a record-breaking USD$70 billion to Sub-Saharan Africa to help tackle development challenges such as increasing access to energy; boosting women’s and youth’s economic empowerment; and promoting an enabling environment for more innovation and technology adoption. A passionate advocate for Africa’s right to clean and affordable electricity, he also called for greater investment in renewable energy and pushed for stronger regional interconnectivity in the power and transport sectors. He previously served as World Bank Director for Finance, Private Sector & Infrastructure in the Latin America and the Caribbean Region; Country Director for Brazil, where he helped finance major infrastructure work; and Country Director for Kenya, Eritrea, and Somalia.
Mr. Diop brings to the post a deep level of experience and understanding of development challenges and a firm grasp of the public/private sector interface. His main priorities will be to mobilize investments in the poorest and most fragile countries and create the conditions for a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable recovery. In addition to his international organization experience, Mr. Diop, an economist by training who started his career in the banking industry before joining the IMF and later the World Bank, has extensive private sector experience. He has also held government positions, most notably as Minister of Economy and Finance of Senegal, where he played a key role in instituting structural reforms that helped build a strong foundation for Senegal’s growth in the late 1980s.
A recognized opinion leader in the economic and social development field, Makhtar Diop has been named one of the 100 most influential Africans in the world. In 2015, he received the prestigious Regents’ Lectureship Award from the University of California, Berkeley.
Mr. Diop holds degrees in economics from the Universities of Warwick and Nottingham in England.

Roberts leads WWF’s efforts to save the world’s great ecosystems and address climate change by linking science, field and policy programs with an ambitious initiative to work with markets and businesses to lighten their impact on the planet. He has worked with communities and heads of state in North America, Africa, Latin America and Asia; and has built partnerships with some of the world’s largest corporations, including Walmart, Cargill and Mars to set new industry standards for resource efficiency.
Roberts earned his MBA from Harvard Business School following a BA from Princeton University, and subsequently held marketing management positions for Procter & Gamble and Gillette. He went on to lead international conservation and science programs for fifteen years at The Nature Conservancy before coming to WWF in 2004.
Roberts serves on the Boards of the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy at Duke University and the Grantham Institute for Climate Change at Imperial College and the London School of Economics. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and most recently served on the International Finance Corporation’s Advisory Panel on Sustainability and Business, as well as the Advisory Board of the Sustainable Energy for All (SE4All) initiative chaired by the Secretary-General of the UN.

Rob Kaplan

Rob is Founder and CEO of Circulate Capital. He established Circulate Capital to deploy catalytic capital in partnership with leading corporations and investors to scale solutions that advance the circular economy and prevent the flow of plastic waste into the ocean in South and Southeast Asia.
Rob leads Circulate Capital’s strategy, team, and operations as the firm identifies, incubates, and invests in opportunities diverting waste from the environment into the recycling chain in South and Southeast Asian countries. Circulate Capital’s model relies on supporting the local innovators implementing solutions on the ground, on partnerships with global corporations to leverage their supply chains to drive scale, and on incentivizing a new generation of entrepreneurs to build a fresh pipeline of investable projects.
His expertise also let Rob to become a Forbes contributor and a recognized speaker at high level conferences addressing the ocean plastic issue and/or the role of investors in advancing the circular economy.
Rob is Co-Founder and Senior Advisor to Closed Loop Partners, an innovative platform for impact investing, sustainability, and the circular economy. As Managing Director, Rob oversaw strategy and new business model development, as well as day-to-day operations. The Fund has deployed more than $60M into recycling and circular economy investment opportunities focused in North America.
Rob also served as Director of Sustainability for Walmart Stores, Inc. where he was responsible for packaging, customer engagement, and integration with the Consumables business, including personal care and household cleaning. Rob previously led Walmart’s cross-functional efforts to eliminate 20 million metric tons of greenhouse gas from the supply chain.
Before joining Walmart, he helped lead corporate responsibility and brand strategy for Brown-Forman Corporation, which produces and markets spirit brands such as Jack Daniel’s.
Rob received his MBA from the Haas School where he studied marketing, corporate responsibility, and social entrepreneurship. Prior to graduate school, Rob was State Communications Director for Fight Crime: Invest in Kids California and a political consultant for M&R Strategic Services in Washington, DC. Rob received his undergraduate degree in political communication from the George Washington University where he learned that perception is reality.
Vivek Pathak
Director and Global Head, Climate Business, IFC
Vivek Pathak is IFC’s Global Head and Director of Climate Business. In this role, he facilitates business growth, provides thought leadership, new product development and facilitates all work related to climate business. He is responsible for identifying new business opportunities for climate business and facilitating the mobilization of capital into this space.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Pathak was IFC’s Regional Director for East Asia and the Pacific, leading advisory and investment operations across 18 countries, which in fiscal year 2020 reached US$4.2 billion in long-term investments, including funds mobilized from other investors. He has extensive emerging markets experience in principal investments, restructuring and risk management. Earlier in his career, Mr. Pathak was Global Head and Director for Investment and Credit Risk, responsible for global coverage of credit risk, investment risk, integrity risk, pricing and credit/equity training. Prior to that he oversaw IFC’s portfolio in the Middle East and North Africa and led business development in frontier markets in the Middle East and North Africa.

Stephanie von Friedeburg
Senior Vice President, Operations, IFC
Ms. Stephanie von Friedeburg is IFC’s first Senior Vice President, Operations. She most recently stewarded the institution in the midst of the pandemic and led the implementation of IFC’s strategy to create projects, attract private investment, and ultimately support a resilient and inclusive recovery in emerging markets. She currently leads all IFC investment operations and advisory services and manages IFC’s $60 billion debt and equity portfolio in more than 100 countries. Her priorities include increasing opportunities for women, scaling up investments to fight climate change, and promoting digital development. Her career spans almost three decades in the World Bank Group. She started at IFC, where she also served as the first Chief Operating Officer, and has spent more than two decades in investment operations, developing strong expertise in Africa and Central and Eastern Europe and in sectors such as telecom, manufacturing, and a wide array of technologies. In addition to an MBA from the Wharton School, she holds a Master of Arts from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
Henriette Kolb
Head, Gender and Economic Inclusion Group, IFC
Henriette leads the Gender and Economic Inclusion Group at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group. She serves as an advocate for gender equality issues in the private sector and works with IFC’s clients to include both women and men as entrepreneurs, employees, consumers, community stakeholders and leaders. She leads a global team that is engaged in co-creating gender-smart private sector solutions through research, investments, advice and peer learning platforms.
Before joining IFC in September 2013, Henriette was the CEO of the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, where she remains involved as a senior advisor. Earlier in her career, Henriette was the UN representative in the Middle East Quartet team advising Tony Blair in Jerusalem. She also worked for the Office of the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process (UNSCO). She has held positions as governance advisor with the European Commission Delegation to Tanzania, the German Technical Cooperation Agency in Germany, and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Tanzania, where she worked on conflict reduction, civic education, and socioeconomic issues in East Africa.
Henriette graduated with an MSc in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London and received her MA from Freiburg University, Germany. She is also a Harvard Kennedy School Women in Public Policy Program fellow (2018). Patricia Espinosa

On 18 May 2016, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon appointed Patricia Espinosa of Mexico as Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Ms. Espinosa took office on 18 July 2016.
Ambassador of Mexico to Germany since 2012 and from 2001 to 2002, Ms. Espinosa was Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mexico from 2006 to 2012, bringing more than 30 years of experience at highest levels in international relations, specialized in climate change, global governance, sustainable development, gender equality and protection of human rights.
As Mexico's representative on multilateral bodies and international organizations in Vienna, Geneva and New York, Ms. Espinosa has been engaged as leader in the global challenge to address climate change and its consequences, notably as President of the 16th Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC leading to the adoption of the Cancun Agreements. Named by the UN Secretary-General to the High-Level Panel of Eminent Persons on the Post 2015 Development Agenda, she is a tireless supporter of multilateralism as a way to improve conditions for development in all regions of the world, understanding the inextricable link between the aims of the Paris Climate Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Elected Chair of the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly (1996) she played a key role in the process leading to the adoption of the Beijing Platform for Action at the 4th World Conference on Women. Previous Ambassador of Mexico to Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia and UN Organisations in Vienna (2002-2006), she was Chief of Staff to the Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1989-1991) and responsible for economic issues at the Permanent Mission of Mexico to the UN in Geneva (1982-1988).
Born in 1958, she has postgraduate studies in International Law from the Institut Universitaire de Hautes Etudes Internationales in Geneva and is holder of a Degree in International Relations from El Colegio de Mexico. Fluent in English and German, she is confident in French with Spanish mother tongue.

Maarten Wetselaar is Integrated Gas & New Energies Director and member of the Executive Committee of Royal Dutch Shell. He is responsible for Shell’s Integrated Gas business, including the industry-leading liquefied natural gas (LNG) and gas-to-liquids (GTL) positions. He also leads the New Energies business, including Shell’s investments in low-carbon electricity, new fuels, and new business models for a lower carbon future. He oversees 38 countries for Shell, including Australia, China, Japan, Qatar, Russia, and Trinidad & Tobago.
Maarten holds a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Groningen and a post doctorate Controllers degree from VU University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. After joining Shell in 1995 he held a variety of financial, commercial and general management roles in Shell’s Upstream, Downstream and Trading businesses in Europe, Brazil, Ghana, the Middle East and Russia.
In 2009, Maarten became Executive Vice President Finance in Upstream International. From 2013 to 2015 he served as Executive Vice President for Integrated Gas, based in Singapore.

Simpiwe “Sim” Tshabalala is Chief Executive of the Standard Bank Group. Sim was born in Hlabisa, in rural KwaZulu-Natal. He grew up in Soweto and was educated at Sacred Heart College in Johannesburg. Sim attended Rhodes University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1988, and a Bachelor of Laws in 1990. He served his articles at Bowman Gilfillan, and went on to do a Master of Laws at Notre Dame in the US, which he was awarded summa cum laude, in 1993. Sim was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 1994. He joined Real Africa Durolink Investment Bank in 1994 and worked in its structured finance division until 2000. In that time he continued his studies on a part-time basis, and completed the Higher Diploma in taxation law from the University of the Witwatersrand (‘Wits’) in 1996. Sim joined the Project Finance Division of Standard Corporate and Merchant Bank as head of structured finance in 2000, becoming a Director in 2000 and Managing Director of Stanbic Africa in 2001. In 2006 he was appointed Chief Executive of Personal and Business Banking, South Africa. In the same year, he completed Harvard University’s Advanced Management Programme. In March 2008, Sim was appointed as Chief Executive of Standard Bank South Africa. He was appointed as one of three Deputy Chief Executives of the Standard Bank Group in April 2009. In June 2012, Sim took on the additional responsibility for Corporate and Investment Banking’s client franchise in South Africa. In March 2013, Sim was appointed joint Chief Executive of the Standard Bank Group, extending his responsibilities to the banking businesses on the African continent outside South Africa and to the bank’s Wealth business, including Liberty Holdings. In September 2017, Sim was appointed as the sole Chief Executive of the Standard Bank Group. Sim serves on the Boards of the Liberty Group and the Banking Association of South Africa. In January 2018, he was appointed to the board of the Institute of International Finance. In August 2018, Sim was made a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers of South Africa. He is currently President of the International Monetary Conference.
Frank Heemskerk

Frank Heemskerk was appointed Secretary General of the European Round Table of Industry (ERT) on 1 January 2019. Frank Heemskerk graduated with an economics degree in 1994 from the University of Amsterdam and had spent an Erasmus year in Leuven, Belgium. Soon after, he began his career at ABN AMRO Bank where he held various positions until 2003, when he pursued a career in politics. Between 2003 and 2006, he a Member of Parliament for the Dutch Labour Party (PvdA) and, between 2007 and 2010, was Minister for Foreign Trade, also responsible for Telecoms & IT, SMEs and the better regulations agenda. Since retiring from national politics, Frank Heemskerk has held various professional positions. Between 2013 and 2018, he was an Executive Director of the World Bank, where he also chaired the World Bank Group Audit Committee. He sat on the Executive Board of Royal HaskoningDHV (2011-2013), a global engineering and project management consultancy. Since November 2018 Frank Heemskerk has been a visiting lecturer in Geo-Economics at Leiden University, faculty of Governance & Global Affairs. In July 2020, he took on the additional role of Chairman of the Board of Amnesty International in the Netherlands. He is married with a daughter and a son, loves reading and football, and - like many Dutch citizens - is an enthusiastic cyclist.
Andrew Revkin

Andrew Revkin is one of America’s most honored and experienced environmental journalists and the founding director of the new Initiative on Communication and Sustainability at Columbia University's Earth Institute. There he is building programs, courses, tools and collaborations bridging communication gaps between science and society to boost societal and environmental sustainability. He launched and runs the Earth Institute’s live Sustain What webcasts on COVID-19 solutions and paths to resilience. Revkin has written on climate change for more than 30 years, reporting from the North Pole to the White House, the Amazon rain forest to the Vatican - mostly for The New York Times. He has held positions at National Geographic and Discover Magazine and won the top awards in science journalism multiple times, along with a Guggenheim Fellowship. Revkin has written acclaimed books on the history of humanity’s relationship with weather, the changing Arctic, global warming and the assault on the Amazon rain forest, as well as three book chapters on science communication. Two very different films have been based on his work: “Rock Star” (Warner Brothers, 2001) and the triple-Golden-Globe-winning 1994 HBO film “The Burning Season,” based on Revkin’s biography of slain Brazilian forest defender Chico Mendes. A lifelong musician, he was a frequent accompanist of Pete Seeger and is a performing songwriter.

Mary L. Schapiro

Mary L. Schapiro is the Vice Chair for Global Public Policy of Bloomberg, the global financial technology company that was founded in 1981. She has been at Bloomberg since October 2018, and also serves as a Special Advisor to the Founder and Chairman.
Ms. Schapiro, who has had a distinguished career as a financial services regulator under four U.S. presidents from both political parties, oversees Bloomberg’s public policy and regulatory priorities globally. Her service as the 29th SEC Chair culminated decades of regulatory leadership. She was the first woman to serve as SEC Chair, and the only person to have served as chair of both the SEC and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. During her four years as SEC Chair, Ms. Schapiro presided over one of the busiest rulemaking agendas in the SEC’s history, during which the agency also executed a comprehensive restructuring program to improve protections for investors and pursued aggressive enforcement of the federal securities laws.
Ms. Schapiro also serves as an advisor to Bloomberg in multiple capacities, including as a leader for two groups chaired by Michael R. Bloomberg. The first group – the Financial Stability Board’s Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures – has developed and garnered wide spread support for a voluntary framework for corporate disclosure of climate-related risk information to help investors, lenders, underwriters and others make informed financial decisions. The second group – the Working Group on U.S. RMB Trading and Clearing – supports the internationalization of China’s currency in order to improve the competitiveness and efficiency of U.S. businesses by lowering trading costs and improving access to China’s markets. The third is the Climate Finance Leadership Initiative.
Before becoming SEC Chair and working for Bloomberg, Ms. Schapiro served as chief executive officer of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the largest nongovernmental regulator of securities firms. Earlier, she was Chair of the CFTC from 1994 to 1996, a commissioner of the SEC from 1988 to 1994, and general counsel of the Futures Industry Association. Aditi Maheshwari has been addressing climate change from both a public and private sector perspective for 17 years. She is a Senior Operations Officer at IFC, where her work focuses on mobilizing private capital for climate investments in developing countries, supporting the corporation’s climate change agenda and commitment to increasing its climate-friendly lending. She is leading initiatives at IFC to promote private sector investment aligned with national climate plans, including for renewable energy, and to support businesses along the construction value chain to manage carbon risks and capitalize on opportunities. Her publication credits include co-authoring IFC’s Green Buildings: A Finance and Policy Blueprint for Emerging Markets and leading IFC’s flagship report on Climate Investment Opportunities in Cities.

Nick Stern was previously Chief Economist of the World Bank and Senior Vice President, Development Economics (2000-03) and Chief Economist and Special Counsellor to the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (1994 until late 1999). He was Head of the UK Government Economic Service (2003-07) and Second Permanent Secretary to Her Majesty’s Treasury (2003-05). He was Director of Policy and Research for the Prime Minister’s Commission for Africa (2004-05), and led the Stern Review on the Economics of Climate Change (2005-06).
From 1986 to 1993 Nick Stern taught at the London School of Economics, where he was Sir John Hicks Chair in Economics. The CURB Initiative helps cities act on climate and at the same time improve people’s lives, create jobs, improve competitiveness and spur economic growth. The Initiative is supported by the CURB interactive tool that by allows cities to map out different action plans and evaluate their cost, feasibility, and impact.
Before joining IFC, Mr Kapoor worked as a director at WSP consultants in London. There he led the engineering planning of Masdar City, an innovative zero-carbon city under construction in Abu Dhabi, and developed the Dubai Urban Development Framework, including a green building regulatory system for the city.
The scope of Mr Kapoor’s work at WSP included other sustainable master-planning projects such as Ford Eco-town, a zero-carbon development called Graylingwell, the redevelopment of Alameda Point in San Francisco, and the creation of an eco-tourism masterplan for the Dead Sea. He established a Sustainable Cities League table (on behalf of VIOLA) to benchmark the sustainability performance of European cities and created a study to explore policy options for Cixi City in China, to help with its transition to a low climate risk economy.
Mr Kapoor holds architecture degrees from Manipal Institute of Technology (India) and a master’s degree in the energy-efficient building from Oxford Brooks University (UK).

Nigel Topping serves as CEO of We Mean Business, a coalition of organizations working on climate change with thousands of the world’s most influential businesses and investors. We Mean Business harnesses business leadership to support the implementation and policies that accelerate action on climate change.
Topping has 18 years experience in the private sector, consulting for and running manufacturing businesses. Previously, he was executive director of CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project). Prior to joining CDP, he spent 18 years in the manufacturing sector, most recently as a member of the MBO team and senior vice president of supply chain for an automotive component manufacturing company with a turnover of $800 million and facilities all over the world.
Topping has extensive international experience, having worked in Spain, the USA, Germany and the UK at various times in his career. He also has significant experience in emerging markets, having led projects in Brazil, India and China. He holds a BA in Mathematics from Cambridge University and an MSc in Holistic Science from Schumacher College.
