The Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP) is a global effort that pools donor resources to fund programs focused on increasing agricultural productivity as a way to reduce poverty and increase food and nutrition security. The Private Sector Window, managed by IFC, and supported by the governments of Australia, Canada, Japan, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States, provides long- and short-term loans, credit guarantees, equity, and technical assistance to private sector companies and financial intermediaries.

The PROSPECTS Initiative

IFC has embarked on a regional partnership with the Government of the Netherlands to support development across the Middle East and North Africa region, which includes a dedicated blended finance facility, Alafaq Aljadida (New Horizons), to help reduce the risk profile of projects with high development impact in the MENA region.

IFC is also partnering with the Netherlands on a blended finance investment facility as part of the PROSPECTS Initiative to help de-risk and increase the finance viability of high-impact projects benefiting refugees and Forcibly Displaced People and their host communities.
