REDD Project Feasibility Studies for Three Community Forests in West Kalimantan, Indonesia
Recent spatial planning processes have caused forests with high biodiversity to be indicated for Other Land Use and Convertible Production Forest. To reduce the possibility for large-scale land conversion to palm expansion, three communities applied for village forest permits and undertook feasibility studies for Avoided Forest Conversion projects.

RSPO's Training the Trainers Curriculum
RSPO created a "train the trainers" curriculum focusing on biodiversity and how to effectively and consistently conduct HCV assessments. The modules cover: HCV approach and definition, requirements in the RSPO standard and new plantings procedures, identification, management and monitoring, and reporting and peer review, and incorporate relevant tools developed by other stakeholders, such as an HCV monitoring tool from ZSL.

Highlights of Changes to RSPO Criteria and Indicators
This document highlights revisions made in Principles & Criteria 2013. In summary, four new criteria were added that were not present in P&C 2007: C1.3 - ethical conduct, C6.12 - forced and trafficked labor, C6.13 - respecting human rights, and C7.8 - minimising GHG emission from new plantings.

This report summarizes a multi-stakeholder meeting that took place in August 2009 to discuss the controversial conversion of HCV forests in Tripa into palm oil plantations.
