The Gul Ahmed Group’s two wind plants in Pakistan are helping the country meet rising demand for energy and reduce its reliance on imported fuel. They are also also improving lives around the Jhimpir wind corridor. Thanks to those wind farms that came online in 2016, the region now has roads, drinking water, a clinic, and four schools. The two wind plants are part of the Super Six projects, which are being supported by IFC with a financing package that included $234 million mobilized from other investors.
