IFC Expands Private Sector Social Network in Africa's Fast-changing Markets

Keep abreast of private sector development in some of the world's fastest growing and developmentally important markets with IFC Africa's new page on Facebook, the social networking website.

"Africa is undergoing an important transformation that is being led by private investment, entrepreneurial activity, and pro-growth policies," said Thierry Tanoh, IFC Vice President for Latin America and the Caribbean, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Western Europe "IFC has been at the forefront of private sector development on the continent over the past decade and we continue to expand our investment, advisory, and mobilization activities in a region where they provide enormous impact and opportunities."

The Facebook page (facebook.com/ifcafrica) complements IFC Africa’s Twitter feed (@IFCAfrica) and IFC’s You Tube page and is expanding our footprint in the world of social media, helping us engage more closely with other development groups, and individuals interested in African development.

The Facebook page includes a current list of IFC feature stories, publications, and videos and also provides background and general information on our work in Africa.
