Participants at this workshop will engage in discussion on how the rivers of Nepal contribute to the country’s sustainable economic development goals. Environmental flow methods for hydropower projects and tools enabling collective river management will be explored. Group work will aim to address major issues and concern and outline action points, responsibilities and a timeline.
With support from USAID, this workshop is co-hosted by the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), USAID’s PANI Program and IFC. Presenters include representatives from the government of Nepal, the Embassy of Australia in Nepal, the private sector, research institutes and NGOs.
