Thought Leadership

“We all have a vision and mission to help fight poverty but the vibe you get from developing countries, in terms of grasping problems, turning them into opportunities, innovating, and navigating through challenges, is amazing,” said Zeynep Kantur Ozenci, IFCs Global Sector Manager for Health and Education, in an interview with Healthcare Markets International. She also shared insights into how IFC plans to help strengthen global health systems in emerging markets. Charles Dalton, Senior Health Specialist at IFC, explained the role of innovation in transforming global health systems in his latest blog post. “To provide those most in need with adequate access to high-quality, affordable care, we must shift the status quo,” he wrote.

IFC recently announced a partnership with a private healthcare developer, Egyptians For Healthcare Services (EHCS), to support the construction and operation of CapitalMed Health Care City. Poor-quality healthcare is estimated to cause more preventable deaths in low- and middle-income countries each year than insufficient access to care. To help improve care, IFC Health launched a new series of free trainings focused on quality and other patient-safety topics designed to empower healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to their patients.
