The COVID-19 pandemic is substantially and negatively impacting economies around the world.
On April 29, IFC held a panel to explore the effects of the pandemic on agribusiness in Vietnam, and discuss the role of digital tools in mitigating some of its impacts
The panel featured representatives from agribusiness companies ECOM, Nafoods, Phoenix, and Puratos, as well as representatives from the Government of Vietnam.
The discussion also included insights from digital agri-association VIDA, and representatives from Ericsson and FPT – both of which provide ICT solutions that support and enable digital adoption.
Panelists shared insights on the respective challenges they face while addressing the pandemic’s short and long-term effects on agriculture and food supply chains.
