Ruth Horowitz is IFC Vice President, Equity Mobilization Division (AMC).
In her capacity as Vice President, Ms. Horowitz is responsible for managing AMC’s existing funds business and investor relationships, developing new funds that enhance IFC’s equity strategy, and creating efficiencies and closer collaboration between AMC staff and the rest of IFC operations on identifying, executing and managing equity investments. She chairs all fund investment committees.
Ms. Horowitz has over 20 years of experience in private equity, including the last 11 years at AMC as Chief Operating Officer and Director. She has been involved in all aspects of the business, including investment decision making, investor relations, operations management and fundraising.
Prior to joining AMC, Ms. Horowitz worked for Lehman Brothers for over 20 years where she was instrumental in developing and growing its private equity business from 2000 to 2009 as its Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer. She also served as a senior vice president in investment banking working on strategy and business planning, a senior vice president and chief administrative officer of its Equity Research department, and a vice president of its Equity Capital Markets and Debt Capital Markets departments.
Ms. Horowitz has an MBA from Harvard Business School and an undergraduate degree from Barnard College, Columbia University.
