
Challenge
An IFC investment in a radiology diagnostics operator faced an important financing gap in order to reach financial close. CFS’s support was needed to attract suitable investors during a period with difficult macro and FX trends for that specific market.
Solution
CFS helped broadly restructure the transaction, including key commercial agreements, and revise the expansion agenda to reflect macro and operational realities. Using its institutional network, CFS helped identify two potential strategic investors with the necessary risk appetite for that specific market and marketed the opportunity to potential qualified investors.
Results
After several targeted conversations, the transaction was deemed successful by bringing in a majority strategic investor who provided additional capital and technical expertise. CFS’s intervention helped the radiology clinic attract a capable equity investor, unlock additional co-financing from IFC, and expand its services by enhancing the quality of healthcare in that market.
