Youth Employability

Across the Middle East and North Africa, about one-quarter of young people are unemployed. Many of these are recent college and university graduates who lack the technical skills in demand by today’s employers.

Through the E4E Initiative for Arab Youth, IFC helps address the skills gap by providing young people with practical training in up-and-coming fields like information technology, tourism, and logistics. We work with schools, industry associations, and regulators from Morocco to Jordan to develop high-quality training programs.
