Good policies and regulations are a critical foundation to ensure the hydropower sector is developed sustainably and good international industry practices are in place.
We’re investing in strengthening legislation including water laws, small hydro regulations, policies on sustainable hydropower development and feasibility study guidelines for governments to ensure that the tools are available and guidance is provided to identify, mitigate and manage environmental and social risks.
