The IFC CEO Gender Award is an internal initiative to highlight and advance IFC’s commitment to women's participation in business around the world. The award is presented to IFC employees and/or teams, and their client companies, in conjunction with our International Women’s Day celebration.
Award nominations can be of two types:
1. Focused externally on potential and/or actual operational results;
2. Focused internally on institutionalizing our support to women’s participation in business.
a) Generating new business for IFC (for example, developing/replicating women-targeted IFC products);
b) Making IFC projects more sustainable by integrating a women-targeted approach/component in IFC-supported activities;
c) Contributing to new knowledge on women's roles as leaders, entrepreneurs, employees, consumers and/or stakeholders;
d) Institutionalizing a women-targeted approach in IFC internal processes (policies, targets, measurements);
e) Promoting development impact tracking by gender.
