Sustainability Circle - Annual meeting with donors, IFC clients and partners

The Sustainability Circle is an opportunity to meet with donors, clients and partners of IFC’s Advisory Services in Sustainable Business, and to discuss how we can scale up innovative private sector solutions to some of the most pressing development challenges of our time.





More than 30 donors, IFC clients and other partners attended the meeting, held in Bern, Switzerland on January 21 and 22, 2013.


Three key topics were discussed:  (i) green growth – scaling up resource efficiency solutions; (ii) women in business; and (iii) agribusiness and sustainable food supply. Please find below, a background paper for each session:

The 2012 Sustainability Circle was hosted by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) in Bern, Switzerland.


The previous meeting was held in Vienna, Austria in November 2011.
