A major division of IFC Finance, Treasury serves two key roles for the Corporation.
It oversees the financial health of the organization while seeking ways to stimulate growth in emerging markets. Through asset liability management, funding management, and liquid asset management, it ensures that IFC has the funds it needs to invest in the private sector of developing countries. Treasury also issues bonds in local currencies.
It offers products and services to IFC's client companies and institutions, working in close collaboration with our investment departments. These activities include structured finance transactions and derivative-based products.
