The following table lists events and milestones related to the Sustainability Framework Review and Update. It includes each of the consultation phases and includes specific events, such as thematic consultations and open house consultations.

April 30, 2006 IFC’s Sustainability Framework comes into effect.  
July 29, 2009 CODE meeting to discuss IFC’s Report on the First Three Years of Application of the Sustainability Framework. World Bank Board of Executive Directors Committee on Development Effectiveness (CODE) discusses IFC's Policy and Performance Standards on Social and Environmental Sustainability and Policy on Disclosure of Information: Report on the First Three Years of Application and approves the Review and Update of the Sustainability Framework.
September 8, 2009 IFC launches the Sustainability Framework Review and Update with Phase I of the consultation process. Phase I consultations seek input on clarity of language, implementation effectiveness, and gaps in current coverage.

This meetingwas open to anyone interested and gave stakeholders an opportunity to ask questions and provide input related to IFC's Performance Standards and Disclosure Policy Review.

A short presentation from IFC Management on the overall process kicked off the session, allowing maximum time for discussion of policy issues. This session focused on 1) implementation issues 2) gaps in coverage and 3) issues of clarity with the performance standards and disclosure policy.
