Recent HighlightsThe IFC/ILO “Better Work” program reached a milestone when international union and industry leaders expressed their unanimous support during meetings held recently in New York and Geneva, agreed to increase both collaboration and efforts to reach out to their national-level union members. In September 2008, IFC announced a joint project with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) to help companies in emerging markets improve relationships with stakeholders and attract investors by better measuring, managing, and reporting their contribution to socially and environmentally sustainable development.
