Paying taxes is a complicated process for Tajikistan’s 115,000 individual entrepreneurs. A third of them describe the process as complicated or very complicated.
These sole proprietorships have two options: the Patent or the Certificate. In 2006, more than 90% of entrepreneurs chose the Patent system of taxation.

May 2008. IFC’s “Train the Trainer” model to implement the 2006 Inspections Law. Training Partner Spotlight: The Consultative Centre of Entrepreneurs.
...Since May 2007, IFC’s training specialist Safro Isaeva has trained 110 trainers in all of Tajikistan – in Dushanbe, Sogd region, Khatlon district, Gorno-Badakshan and the Rasht valley. The trainers work for legal aid centers for entrepreneurs, non-governmental organizations, and jamoats (village-level government).
