When the debt and the terms of the agreements must be restructured, as the Lender of Record, IFC takes a leading role in structuring a deal that ultimately will need to be acceptable to the participants and other parallel lenders. In these situations, IFC recommends a course of action, and consults with participants, as appropriate, and ultimately seeks their consent to the proposed restructuring.
