The scope of information contained in IFC's 2007 Annual Report is unprecedented — for the first time combining IFC's Annual Report, Sustainability Report and Report to Donors.

Fulfilling the Corporation's commitment to continuously improve its reporting on sustainability performance, the report includes a special update on implementation of IFC's Environmental and Social Performance Standards, introduced in April 2006, and extensive new information on IFC's developmental impact. It also features best practice reporting elements such as an independent assurance statement, an online Global Reporting Initiative index, and information on the carbon footprint of IFC's headquarter offices.

Meant as a doorway to IFC's complex, ongoing activities, the report is supplemented by online information, including a new Web site showing how the Corporation is managing its direct social and environmental impacts (www.ifc.org/footprint).
