Description of Company and Purpose of Project

    This project involves the establishment of a US$10 million guarantee facility to promote Belarussian trade flows. The proposed facility will guarantee the non-collateralized portion of letters of credit (L/Cs) issued by a select group of Belarussian banks. The maximum exposure under the facility for IFC’s account will be US$5 million with the balance for the account of the co-guarantor.
