Capacity Building for Banks – All India: IFC is strengthening the corporate governance and institutional capacity of a number of private sector financial institutions (such as Federal Bank, Karnataka Bank, South India Bank and UTI Bank) and therefore fostering the development of an efficient and competitive local banking sector. Diagnostic reports have been prepared and areas of improvement identified for these banks to increase finance to the MSME and retail segments.
IDFC Technical Assistance Facility – All India: Through this Facility, IDFC will provide advisory services to state and municipal governments which will develop and structure private infrastructure projects, including PPPs. Over 17 projects have been supported financially and technically to carry out diagnostic studies as well as other feasibility reports and surveys.
