IFC has launched the South Asia Infrastructure Facility, a dedicated advisory program to develop and deliver public-private Infrastructure projects. The Facility will help identify, structure, and launch sustainable infrastructure projects which leverage private sector expertise and capital, and achieve public-policy objectives. The Facility will seek to support a limited number of PPP infrastructure projects to create model structures which can be widely replicated over time, without the Facility’s support. Over a five year period it aims to develop around 50 such projects.
IDFC Technical Assistance Facility – All India: Through this Facility, IDFC will provide advisory services to state and municipal governments which will develop and structure private infrastructure projects, including PPPs. Over 17 projects have been supported financially and technically to carry out diagnostic studies as well as other feasibility reports and surveys.
