C & J Medicare Hospital Limited (C & J) is wholly owned Ghanaian company established in 1993. It is currently one of the leading private healthcare center in Accra.
The company entered into its first lease agreement in 1999 when its leased an ambulance worth GHC 50,400,000. In 2000, C&J entered into a second lease agreement for a Medical Equipment (screen point multi-channel analyzer) in order to increase its service range. It has since then entered into additional lease transactions involving two vehicles and a Generating Set.
Position of C & J in 1995:
In 1995 C & J had thirty-three (33) workers and a five bed medical hospital. The hospital provided healthcare covering general out-patient clinics, ECG and laboratory services.
Current Position:
Horizon, together with other financial institutions has facilitated the expansion of C & J. The hospital is now a one-shop centre providing quality healthcare in a very clean and decent environment, supported by latest medical technology. The hospital currently operates from its own premises with a bed capacity of 20. The hospital moved to its current premises in 2003.
Since the expansion was initiated the company has acquired modern equipment, which includes anaesthetic machines, mammography, x-ray equipment, ultra-sound equipment among others. Current services include 24-hour ambulance service, radiology service, and pharmacy with an upgraded laboratory with computerized haematology analyser. In 2004, the turnover and staff strength of C & J increased.
