Insurance Committee

The Insurance Committee was formed in December 2005 and consists of over 30 members, including major Russian insurance companies (e.g. Ingosstrakh), large international reinsurance companies (e.g. SwissRe, ), the federal Agency for Housing Mortgage Lending (AHML), major mortgage-lending banks, and state regulatory bodies. The purpose of the Committee is two-fold: (i) standardization of existing insurance rules, products, forms, policies and procedures related to residential mortgage lending, and (ii) development of the mortgage insurance concept for the Russian mortgage market via co-operation with Russian banking and insurance industry players and regulators.
