(4) What are the IFC’s M&E conferences, and how can I participate as a speaker or audience-member?
The IFC has held annual M&E conferences in Washington DC since 2006, and in 2007 we also hosted an M&E conference in Cairo. Attendance has been high (150+ people), so please RSVP early. Participants and audience members mostly consist of evaluation experts, development professionals, donor agencies and foundations, academics, and journalists. Because IFC is engaged in private sector development, these events also attract entrepreneurs, bankers, and other private sector participants from established and emerging markets.
The next conference will be held in Delhi in December. A preliminary agenda is available. More information will be forthcoming as we approach the conference date.
