IFC provides advisory services in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the FYR Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania and Moldova. The programs were formally launched in July 2005 and have been established for an initial period of five years.
Programs are concentrated in four business lines:
- Corporate Advice: Corporate Governance, Recycling Linkages, International Standards and Technical Regulations.
- Business Enabling Environment: Alternative Dispute Resolution, Sub-national Competitiveness.
- Access to Finance: Housing Finance, Sustainable Finance, Bank Capacity Building and Microfinance.
- Infrastructure Advisory Services: Advisory services for the structuring and implementation of Private Sector Participation (PSP) transactions in all infrastructure sub-sectors.
