IFC's program in Aceh & Nias is implementing projects to improve the livelihoods of conflict and tsunami impacted small businesses within the Aquaculture (shrimp) sector. IFC’s focus is on linkages to market, environmental and gender issues in addition to improving productivity. IFC seeks to fill the following Short-term Consulting (STC) position within the Aceh & Nias Livelihoods Program: Aquaculture Gender Specialist The Aquaculture Gender specialist will work closely with the Livelihoods Program Manager and Shrimp consultant in conducting a study on the role of women in the shrimp sector. Traditionally, shrimp farming is dominated by men, but in fact evidence suggests that household and business finance is significantly influenced by women.
