The Integrated Poultry Team held a chicken slaughtering workshop on July 18 2005 at the World Bank’s public information center in Makassar. Aart Jan van Ginkel, a PUM expert, and Inti Zaman, a veterinarian from South Sulawesi’s department of animal husbandry, respectively gave presentations on introducing Poultry Slaughter House Semi Automatic Systems and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point).
Thirty representatives from various backgrounds such as integrators, poultry businessmen, chicken traders – such as KFC and MAKRO – and heads of animal husbandry departments from several districts attended this event.
