Established in 1990, PEP-Pacific is jointly funded by IFC and the governments of Australia, Japan and New Zealand. The primary objective of PEP-Pacific is poverty reduction through employment-generating sustainable private sector development.
Through targeted programs focusing on access to finance, tourism and business climate development, PEP-Pacific works with institutions, organizations and associations to strengthen and stimulate small and medium enterprises so that they can grow, helping create more and better jobs, raise living standards and alleviate poverty.
PEP-Pacific programs are fully aligned with the strategies of IFC, the Foreign Investment Advisory Service and the World Bank in the region.
