Fiji Development Bank

- Strategic Plan Stage 1 – Strategy Review
- Strategic Plan Stage 2 – IT Review
- Strategic Plan Stage 3 – Regulatory Issues Review

In December 2004 PEDF completed an eight phase “Change Management Implementation Program” which resulted in a re-organisation of the Fiji Development Bank (FDB). As a result of the program, key divisions were restructured, non-performing loans dramatically reduced and new risk management systems put in place. During quarter 2 FY06, PEDF continued to work with the FDB and completed an additional three stage project for the bank.

The project involved PEDF developing and executing a strategic plan, the result of which is to enable the bank to obtain a deposit taking license from the Reserve Bank of Fiji. Stage 2 compared the bank’s current IT and banking platforms against the minimum requirements set down by the Reserve Bank of Fiji. Stage 3 reviewed the bank’s current operations and benchmarked them against the minimum requirements set down by the Reserve Bank of Fiji and then developed a strategy/work plan that could be implemented by the FDB to meet the requirements.
