MIFA offers opportunities for:
- Microfinance Institutions & Financial Intermediaries: IFC and KfW are committed to increase access to finance for MFIs. Both foreign and local currency products will be available, either directly or via funding vehicles created under the initiative.
- Investors: Under the initiative there wil be opportunities for investors to engage along side IFC and KfW. Results of the market research will be published and available on the MIFA web-site. The site as well as IFC’s syndication site http://www.ifc.org/investors will regularly be up-dated to reflect current opportunities.
- Microfinance Investment Vehicles (MIVs) & Fund Managers: IFC and KfW are committed to increase access to finance for MFIs, which may include the investment in, or creation of investment vehicles that target Asia. For this element, please contact Symbiotics at: www.symbiotics.lu
- Consultants: Within the initiative individual MFIs may receive advisory services. Capacity building needs are generally identified and designed by the technical team. The services themselves are to be procured in an international competitive bid published in accordance with World Bank Group procurement regualtions. All calls for proposals will be published on the World Bank Groups procurement site: www.econsult.org.
